Missionaries
Pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church
Bullcreek, Australia
Steve's primary responsibilities are to lead the elders, preach God's Word, evangelize and disciple people to follow Jesus. He also visits with members of the congregation and prays for the church.
Having grown up, initially, in a home where Jesus Christ was not known or served, Steve can remember
when at age 9, the Lord turned the whole family around and Jesus Christ became the centre of their lives. Steve was born in New Jersey, USA and was raised in Maryland and West Virginia. After one year of Bible College in Michigan, (1971), he completed his undergraduate work at Covenant College in Tennessee, 1972-74, where the Lord worked a deeper change and Steve gave his life to the Lord. Sensing a call to the Gospel ministry, he completed a Master of Divinity degree at Westminster Theological Seminary, (1974-1979) in Pennsylvania and later a Doctor of Ministry in 1991.
From 1979 to 1985 Steve was involved in church planting for the Presbyterian Church in America in Virginia. In 1985 he began church planting with Mission to the World (MTW), (the foreign mission arm of the Presbyterian Church in America) assigned to Sydney and Canberra, Australia. In 1995 his role with MTW changed to Regional Director of Southeast Asia. Along with this work Steve accepted a call from the Westminster Presbyterian Church~Bull Creek in Western Australia where he has served as senior pastor since 1996.
When not in his office, you may find Steve on a golf course, doing woodwork, or out taking long walks. He and his wife, Beth, enjoy caravaning and gardening together.
"Our vision at Bull Creek is to make whole-hearted disciples for Jesus Christ. I hope we will be a community of Christians who are surrendered to Jesus and can be used to be His servants in this part of His world."
